The Good, The Bad, The Consequences.

I guess I should title this the bad, the good, the consequences.
The bad happened last night.
After I blogged, JJ and I watched some of the Olympics. I was a little hungry, so I nibbled on some triscuits. Cut to me eating the whole box. 1200 calories. Just like that.
BAD!!!
I got so upset with myself, but was even more determined to run 9 miles this morning just to burn off the calories consumed! So this morning I got up at 6:30, and set out on my run. It was 37 degrees. Pretty cold! But I felt great. I hate to say it, but I think all of the carbs helped me get through the run.
I'm thrilled I ran 9 miles, but I do feel like it was overshadowed by my binge eating last night. Ugh!

Well, here are the stats! I was just able to keep myself under an 11 minute pace, yay!!!

So the consequences...
We had a dinner party tonight. I decided that because I was getting no calorie burn today, I had to make sure I stayed under 1400 calories. That meant I had to really limit my alcohol and chocolate fondue consumption. I had a little, but since my 1200 calories were already claimed by stupid triscuits, I had to eat only a few bites of chocolate. Sad...
I'll post some more photos tomorrow, I'm so.freaking.tired right now. 9 miles, errands, cleaning the house, and cooking for a dinner party really take it out of you!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY! <3 <3 <3

  1. I would say the "triscuit incident" was overshadowed by the 9 miles. That's a fantastic achievement - don't short change yourself.

  3. happens to all of us, ash. it's life. i'm super proud that you went for a run the next day...not many people would have done that. good for you. in the grand scheme of things, it's no big deal. this is a lifestyle change and a slip up is just that.

  4. Yay Ash!!!! Nine miles is amazing. Don't feel bad about the Triscuits at all. Those things are like crack, and it's so hard to limit how many you eat. They probably did help you get through the long run too.

  5. One box of cracker < a 9 mile run

That is simple math. Congrats on a great run!

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  8. Awesome job at bouncing back quickly. And thanks for posting a slip-up, too. It's nice to know even someone as disciplined as you are falters. And you look so pretty in that pink sweater!

  10. Wow, 9 miles!?! That is so awesome - I really hope that when I get to that distance in my training that I'll be able to keep under an 11min pace as well!
Sucky about the Triscuit box, but to be honest - I think we've all been there, done that. :)
