Because I'm curious....

I posted a poll on the right side at the top of my blog. It's in regards to the 30 Day Shred. At some point, I'm going to write Jillian and tell her how much I love her, and the shred, and how I want her to come to my -100 lb. party.
Since I'm an accountant and I heart #'s, I'd like to give her some statistical data! Please take my poll and comment here if your answer is a little different from any of my choices...
Yes, this means you need to leave Google Reader for 2 seconds to take my poll.
Thank you :)

Also, I'd like to announce that my sister called me a badass b/c I Shred 2&3 back to back with my 8 lb. handweights.
I pretty much am a badass... haha
But really, my upper body strength has improved 1000% I'm sure!
...and my abs look like Anita's....
;)

  1. I wanted to mention that although I've never tried the Shred, I find myself giving people the link to your review on a very regular basis. :)

  2. I am one that found you via Google. I've ordered my own Shred DVD, but I had it sent to my new address because I'm moving this Thursday (YIKES!) so technically, I haven't tried it yet. Although I'm looking forward to it! :)

Also love your cooking blog, as a complete side note.

  4. My sister is in love with 30DS, and I'm dying to do it, but I'm in Thailand and I don't know where I'd buy it (or weights, for that matter). So, for now, I'm stuck with body weight exercises and running.

  7. If your abs look like hers, I'm totally jealous. :o)

I have tried the Shred before but found it wasn't really for me...but I'll probably try again once my training for the half is done. :o)

  9. I got it from Amazon becuase of your rview. I am now on the 2nd level and hate all the plank exercises, but I am keeping on with it. Though I don't do it daily like I should.

  11. Hey ash--i recently started reading your blog as inspiration for my own weight loss. so, thanks! anyway quick question. All these calorie counter apps i have say i need to eat 1400 calories to lose 2lbs a week. But it adds more calories on when i enter exercise so my "net" calories stays at 1400. To me this sounds like exercising is a waste of time?! But they ALL do it that way, so it cant be wrong?

Did you track your calories burned and add on to your daily calories? I dont know what to do!

    Thanks!

  12. First of all,
you are a badass and I might have to try the level 2&3 back to back.
I heard of the shred just before I came across your blog.
If Jillian comes, that would be awesome!!

  13. Your sister is right. You are a total badass. I'm on day 8 of the Shred and my 5lb weights are kicking my ass. But I LOVE the Shred becuase I HATE weight lifting. I feel like I can Shred instead of lifting weights so I can tone with out getting all bulky and looking like a man, lol.

  14. The love love love the Shred! I am no badass like you though, yet! After I complete the 30 days using 3 and 5 lb weights, I am working on what I like to call "maintenance" with 5 lb weights. I rotate all three levels, but mostly 2 and 3. I am down almost three pants sizes since starting the Shred in late November.

It would be so amazing if Jillian came to your -100lbs party! I look forward to reading your blog as you count down the few remaining pounds :-)

  15. Yep, your sister is right, you are a TRUE badass! I'm just using my 3lb weights (though I think I could probably tolerate 5 lbers on some of the moves), and I'm pooped, pooped, pooped! Back to back, you rule!
