And then the sky opened up...

This afternoon, I checked on the weather to see if our run was going to happen. Not so much!
It ended up clearing up by the time I headed home, but we had already decided to cancel our run. JJ's baseball game was rained out, so we decided to go out to dinner. He wanted Mexican, so we hit a local place. I probably ate way more than I should have, but I've been eating well this week and it felt like a kind of 'farewell to indulgent food' meal since the next 2-3 months are going to be really strict in calories.

Tomorrow I only work a half day!!!!!!!! Can you tell I'm excited? My mom is set to arrive at 11 and Becky at 1, so my mom and I are going to lunch near the airport while we wait on Becks.
No big plans for tomorrow night, I need to get some sleep!

Today Lou and I got our race stuff, and he was telling me how nervous he is. This is only his 2nd race ever, his first was our 10k in December. He said he hasn't been able to sleep and it's all he's been thinking about. It was weird to be on the opposite side of this, the experienced racer with words of wisdom for the nervous one! Coming off my half marathon, I feel like I have no worries. My time doesn't concern me much, and I'm out there to have fun and enjoy the experience. Although, there will be 20,000 people running this race, so I'm sure it's going to be really traffic-ey and there will be a lot of weaving through people.

Anyway, I'm so ready for the weekend, but I have a feeling it's going to go by so fast, and be so busy!
Hope you have a great Friday, I'll be on tomorrow night to post and this time, rather than well-wishes for a great 15k for me, send your running vibes to Lou :)
